Each month Polygon PR joins forces with City Index to give a couple of celebrities the opportunity to try their hands at trading, with any money they make going to their nominated charity.

In January Sarah-Jane Mee and Natalie Imbruglia hedged exceptionally well and walked away with £5080.64 and £3397.64 respectively for their chosen charities, Fight Against Fistula and Chance to Shine.

As a Spokesperson for the UNFPA-led Campaign to End Fistula and an Ambassador for Virgin Unite, Natalie Imbruglia —singer/actress— is helping to raise awareness and funds for this little-known childbearing condition.

Imbruglia first heard about fistula while speaking to Richard Branson, CEO of the Virgin Group, a charitable organization supporting the campaign. In January 2005, she visited fistula hospitals in Ethiopia and Nigeria with representatives from UNFPA and Virgin Unite. Deeply moved, she felt compelled to act and remains involved in the fight against fistula.

Mee’s charity, Chance to Shine is working hard to bring cricket back to schools. The programme has reached 6,500 schools & 1.8million children have enjoyed cricketing opportunities since the programme launched.
