Doing Britain proud last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles were Adele and Mumford & Sons who both picked up Grammy awards.

Adele won Best Pop Solo Performance for Set Fire To The Rain (live) whilst London folk band Mumford & Sons walked away with the coveted Best Album for Babel, re-affirming their rising popularity stateside.

Belgian-Australian singer Goyte scooped 3 awards including Record of the Year for Somebody That I Used To Know and Fun picked up Song of the Year for catchy anthem We Are Young.

Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys was the night’s top winner, with an impressive 4 wins including Producer of the Year.

It was publicised last week that network broadcaster CBS had memo’ed the invitees asking them to ‘cover up’ for the event. Katy Perry defied this by wearing a skin-tight mint dress, which would have been demure had it not been for the large keyhole cut on the chest, which certainly drew some attention!

Jennifer Lopez who hosted the event, wore a ravishing Anthony Vaccarello dress which was slit up to the waist. “As you can see, I read the memo” she joked. Co-presenter Pitbull laughed “You inspired the memo”.
